What we do. Xylem is a global water technology provider. We operate in many different segments. That includes many different products and applications. And to make these work optimally, we need the right people. All with their own expertise and skills. Worldwide we have about 22,000 employees, in the Benelux about 180. But locally you are part of a small, focused team.
Our goal is to work toward a future where global water problems do not exist: “Let’s solve water.” We do this by providing solutions for governments, industries and other users of water. For example, we work on water treatment plants, pumps for sewage, pumping stations in dikes and water installations for buildings. We offer products equipped with the latest technologies. The combination of technology, personal responsibility and cooperation typifies the core of what our employees are all about.
One of the most important things to work on when it comes to solving water problems is sustainability. So you can see this in everything at Xylem. Sustainability is not just about the application of our products. As a company, we pursue it ourselves. For example, we have a sustainable building, we participate as a company in NLdoet, we work together with a sheltered workshop and we have our social investment program ‘Watermark’. With Watermark we want to make drinking water more accessible, safer and more affordable for everyone. We work on education about water, provide emergency relief in disaster areas, and ensure the availability of drinking water in areas where it cannot be taken for granted.
Xylem employs over 1000 people in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Our colleagues come from diverse backgrounds and bring their own unique skills and experience to our organisation.
